FAQ
Questions Asked by Customers
There should be at least 5 feet between two adjacent drones to takeoff. So 2500 square feet will be needed for 100 units of the drones to takeoff.
We also need to have ample space between the drones and the audience. Drones are not allowed to fly over crowds, so we recommend there should be one foot of horizontal separation for every foot of altitude. So, if the drones fly to 400 feet, then the audience needs to be a minimum of 400 feet away from the takeoff space.
500 MMC L1 drones takeoff and landing space:
Number of panels required: 84 (42 boxes)
Row and column layout: 8 rows × 11 columns
Required site size: 23 meters (length) × 19 meters (width)
Total panel area: 112 square meters
Actual occupied area (including row spacing): 437 square meters
800 drone takeoff and landing space:
Number of panels required: 134 (67 boxes)
Row and column layout: 11 rows × 13 columns
Required site size: 26 meters (length) × 23 meters (width)
Total panel area: 177.12 square meters
Actual occupied area (including row spacing): 598 square meters
1000 drone takeoff and landing space:
Number of panels required: 167 (84 boxes)
Row and column layout: 12 rows × 14 columns
Required site size: 27 meters (length) × 25 meters (width)
Total panel area: 221.76 square meters
Actual occupied area (including row spacing): 675 square meters

Even though an impressive drone light show can be done with a mere 60 MMC L1 drones, we recommend at least 500 MMC L1 drones to make a truly memorable experience. Some designs and ideas will take hundreds of drones, while others may only take several dozen. We can work directly with you to determine how many drones will be needed for your show.
Our L1 drones can fly for up to 30 minutes depending on the design and complexity of the show. We have found that audiences prefer shows between 8-12 minutes lasting.
The on-site preparation time for a drone show usually takes 3 to 7 days, depending on the scale of the performance, the complexity of the venue and the team's experience. The following is the detailed schedule and key links:

Site survey and airspace application.
2. On-site deployment (1-2 days)
Regional layout and system debugging.
3. Rehearsal and Final Inspection (1 day)

For supporting the operation of 100-200 MMC L1 drones, three people are needed. One is the operation leader who must acquire knowledge on drone show operation and control through online training. The other two act as support staff. For animations design, you should have one or two staff members who are proficient in using Blender software.
